Extra Money for Your Student’s Band Account
Did you know you can shop AND put money in your student’s band account at the same time? Scrips is an amazing program where you get rebates for purchasing e-cards or gift cards to use for everyday shopping. BAND BOOSTERS

The Caledonia Band Boosters is a volunteer parent & guardian organization who works in partnership with the Band Directors to support and enhance the Middle and High School band program. Our mission is to foster, promote, sponsor, develop and preserve instrumental music in the Caledonia Community Schools and surrounding communities by means of volunteer and financial support.

what we provide

We provide this support by raising 95% of the band’s overall budget providing sheet music, planning and chaperoning bus trips and band camp, moving equipment and program props, maintaining and distributing uniforms, maintaining our website, tracking student accounts, serving food and water, and cheering our Caledonia Band at football games and competitions! The past few years, we have been able to provide a few $500 scholarships to graduating seniors. The Band Boosters chipped in to purchase a much-needed marimba for the Kraft Meadows Middle School band program in 2012. Future goals include raising enough money to subsidize a small portion of each student’s marching band camp costs.

ways to stay involved

How can you be sure you know the very latest happenings of the band? It is amazing how quickly events come up and details change…especially during Marching and Competition season. And students don’t always remember to tell us those important, last minute details...

  • Attend Booster meetings. Generally the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7pm in the CHS Band room.
  • Update your Charms information. Most announcements, assignments and financial files are communicated via e-mail through Charms. See the Charms page for more information.
  • Sign up for email. Late breaking news is delivered by email. If you do not hear from us by early June, feel free to email Mr. Wellfare so we can add you to our list. This email is checked very regularly.
  • Connect with social media. Sign up with Remind. Like us on Facebook. Follow our Tweets. Connect to our social media sites at the top of each webpage or on our Be Connected page.
  • Check the website often. You can find the calendar, news, pictures, and forms. Make us your homepage!
  • Share your talents with our kids! What a great way to really get to know our awesome students and to experience Band through their eyes! You will also make lasting friendships with the kids and their parents!

what we need

In order to provide this financial support, the Band Boosters organization needs to raise approximately $35,000 - $40,000 per year. The fact is, we can’t do it without enthusiastic, motivated parents. Each year, at graduation time, we have many students (and their booster parents) leaving the band program forever. We need to replace those outgoing supporters with incoming parents of middle school band kids, and new high school band kids.
