Fundraising

The Caledonia Band Boosters raises 90% of our Middle School and High School budget. This money is is used to purchase sheet music, to buy and care for uniforms, to cover marching band supplies, competition fees etc. The majority of our fundraising is done through our annual auction. We have also added a Christmas light display behind the high school in December and the CowPie Blues Festival food booth in August as additional fundraisers.

Our Caledonia Bands Auction is held in March. This is the band biggest fundraising effort! We need parents and students to get involved! Bring your family and friends to this fun evening! In 2009, we will not be having an auction due to the economy. Instead, we will have a Jazz Night. Stay tuned for more details.

Cow Pie Blues: This is a hugely popular Blues festival held the first weekend in August at Shagbark Farms in Alaska. In 2008, we sponsored a breakfast booth. Besides making eggs, sausage and pancakes for breakfast, we also made chicken fajitas for lunch/dinner and wonderful Cow Pie Cookies. It is a great way to get the kids involved, and everyone had a ton of fun! Watch for meetings to begin in May.

Candy Cane Lane: Imagine driving on the service drive behind our school and seeing thousands of lights, an elf throwing gifts into Santas sleigh, a snowball fight between an elf and Frosty, and maybe even Santa himself.

Individual Account Fundraisers

Individual Account funds can be used for band related expenses such as band camp, band trips, instuments, and personal lessons. Watch for our fall apple pie sale!

Scrip, Schuil's coffee and the candy sales have been discontinued due to lack of participation.
